I have been considering some possible pot options with the help of Photoshop that I can use when I re-pot my blauws juniper next year.
The first one is a fluted round by the Japanese potter Hokido
The second one, which also came from Japan has no markings. It’s a nice unglazed oval made from a dark almost purple clay
I know which one I prefer But I would be interested to hear what others think
I would choose the first one. Regards.

I agree, although we seem to be in the minority at the moment
I’m with you Robert. Round pot. Though atypical for this species, this particular tree has an elegance about it that matches with the more feminine pot selection.
Thanks Bernard for your helpful comment, much appreciated
I prefer the oval Robert. To me it looks a bit unbalanced in the round pot
Hi Ben
Most people that have responded so far on Facebook are with you at the moment, my preference is the round one although that could change
I like the oval it is more balanced and is Japanese from Tokoname in 1988
Cheers Robert, I’ll re-edit the post, when I get a minute
I vote for the oval one, the other one is too feminine for this tree.
